Fix Your Skin conducted an impressive roundup of over 200 experts from around the world.’s founder, Victoria Girard (me,) was invited to contribute to this awe inspiring list including experts such as Nadine Artemis (founder of Living Libations – one of my all-time favorite skin care lines), filmmaker Laurentine ten Bosch, t.v. personality Stephanie Mansour, author Kellyann Petrucci, and world renowned dermatologist Jeannette Graf, plus many more industry leaders.

We were given the challenge of coming up with 3 of our best natural skin care tips. There are so many options when it comes to nourishing and treating your skin naturally. It was tough, but my three tips were:

1. Feed your skin from the inside by eating as many rich plant based foods as possible. Your complexion (and your health) will thank you.

2. Apply effective topical antioxidants to your skin both morning and night. Antioxidants are nature’s way of fighting the bad guys (free radicals) and working to rejuvenate and replenish the skin. Vitamin C, used in the morning, is a proven and extremely effective antioxidant that fights aging and brightens the skin. Vitamin A is another proven anti-aging powerhouse and is best used at night before bed. It has been shown to diminish lines and wrinkles as well as helping to even out the complexion. Vitamin C and vitamin A aren’t the only skin loving antioxidants available. You will also find that green tea, resveratrol, and vitamin E are extremely beneficial for your skin. I also swear by other topically natural alternatives such as light therapy and microcurrent devices to take years off of my skin.

3. Believe it or not exercise is fantastic for a glowing complexion. Not only is getting off the couch and getting your body moving great for your health, weight, and mood, but exercise also gets your circulation flowing and gets the blood pumping more oxygen to the surface of your skin. Getting your blood pumping brightens your skin giving it a gorgeous glow and zaps dullness in its tracks.

4. I know, I know… only 3 right? But one more incredibly simple thing you can do to liven up your skin is to smile! Smile more and people won’t be able to resist taking a second look!
