The aborigines discovered that water found near melaleuca trees, where the leaves would fall and deposit its oil, would actually cure ailments such as arthritis and skin conditions.  They thought the water was magical because of its phenomenal ability to heal.

In modern times research has shown that tea tree oil has medicinal and healing properties that are extremely beneficial in treating skin conditions.

The many “anti” properties of tea tree oil:

Many types of acne are caused by bacteria and because tea tree oil is antibacterial it is able to help heal active acne.  Start by cleaning your face and apply tea tree oil directly on the affected area.  For an added punch wait 15 minutes and then place a glycolic acid product over the oil.

Tea tree oil is very gentle on the skin and not only helps in healing active acne but is also very helpful in preventing breakouts, clearing clogged pores, and reducing acne scarring.

Tea tree oil may have hormone-like properties.

Don’t use tea tree oil if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Keep tea tree oil out of the reach of children and pets.
