It’s one of those confusing products that seem to have a never ending question mark lingering over them; do I or don’t I really need a toner? The answer, I’m afraid, isn’t a simple yes or no. It all depends on your skin.
If you are someone who suffers with eczema or rosacea then you should avoid toners. This type of skin is usually much too sensitive for most toners and they can actually exacerbate the problem.
If you happen to be someone who tends to have very dry skin then, once again, you shouldn’t be using a toner. Using a toner will just add to the issue and can end up drying your skin out even more causing it to look older. When you are striving to achieve younger looking skin, this can be a real problem.
Okay, now if you have normal, combination, oily, or acne-prone skin then you may find that a toner to be very helpful. So, for these skin types, the answer is a resounding “yes”.
With oily skin types, you can use a toner twice a day. Using it in the morning and in the evening will help to balance your skin and keep your pores clear.
With normal or combination skin you only have to worry about toning once a day.
Toners can be a great addition to your skin care routine and have their place with a number of different skin types. You just have to take the time to know your skin.
Below you will find two great toners that make your skin feel amazing.
