Intrinsic Aging versus Extrinsic Aging
Aging is inevitable, but knowing how your skin ages both extrinsically and intrinsically can help you better arm yourself in your quest for more beautiful skin. Many think that they don’t have any control over how their skin ages and that what they see in their aging mother’s skin is what their skin will look like. But in fact, there is a lot you can do to prevent pre-mature aging and maintain a much more youthful complexion.
Your skin is attacked every day by external assaults and you can do things to help your skin ward off attacks as well as doing things like eating a healthy diet, getting plenty of rest, using safe and effective skin care products, as well as incorporating LED light therapy into your repertoire. Take a look at the infographic below to see just what you are dealing with when it comes to the largest organ in your body; your skin.
Aging is inevitable, it is quite important for us to do the healthy aging. Though we cannot avoid it but it doesn’t mean we can let it affect our life. We can still be happy and active even when we age at the same time, healthy.
I’m more concerned with my intrinsic aging actually. It helps me maintain my youthfulness. Not to mention that it will help us live longer. 🙂
I value inside more than my outside health. Yes, outside is what most people see,but my health and entire life depends on the inside. 🙂 I think it’s fair to value it more. 🙂
I strongly agree that if we focus our efforts in intrinsic health, we’ll save more money and time. I believe it all depends on how we handle our intrinsic health. 🙂
I believe that if we pay attention to our inner health, it will show and radiate on the outside appearance and we’ll all be happy. 🙂 Right? Thanks for sharing!
So true Joy 🙂
As far as my research in the domain goes, I have learned that the most powerful of antioxidants can be easily assimilated from eating some particular fruits. One of the substances is resveratrol, found in wine and grape juice! People should look into that. I also promote a smoking-free lifestyle to promote a younger complexion. I loved the infographic. Nice!
Thanks Simona 🙂 You are right, resveratrol is an excellent antioxidant and living a smoke free life is very beneficial for your skin.
I really believe that extrinsec aging will age you a lot more than intrinsec aging. The aging process is accelerated by all those external factors such as smoking, stress, bad eating habits etc. Great infograph. Thank you for sharing.
I agree Dan, there are so many extrinsic factors that you can do something about.
The extrinsic factors are more than the intrinsic ones and we hardly take care of these take smoking and heat exposure for that matter. Thanks for sharing the informative post.
You are so right Fatima! The extrinsic factors are something that we have much more control over. Simple tweaks to your lifestyle can have a profound effect on the appearance of your skin.
Hi Victoria,
The opening paragraph of this post certainly depicts my frame of my mind. But, I guess you are right, it is certainly in the hands of the individuals to mold the manner in which they will face the aging. I recently bought an anti-aging cream for my mom, and must say it is giving as phenomenol results. The inforgraphic is what I totally loved. Thanks for another amazing share.
You are so welcome Aayna 🙂 Thanks for dropping by!
