Free radicals are atoms that have at least one unpaired electron and become unstable and highly reactive. Because they are unstable they try to steal electrons from other atoms to become stable but in the process cause a damaging chain reaction. Free radicals are created as a result of oxidation when you are exposed to pollution, chemicals, sun exposure, stress, and poor diet. Free radicals are believed to damage your DNA and cell membranes, and accelerating the aging process.
Antioxidants found in fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds help to protect your cells from the damage caused by free radicals working to stabilize them and stopping them in their tracks. Eating a diet rich in antioxidants will help you maintain a more beautiful complexion while preventing pre-mature aging.

Hi Victoria
For the first few lines there I thought I was at a Brian cox seminar only joking. The post came across really well and I will admit I had heard about free radicals but that was about it. I had never really considered how damaging they can be to your skin and if this can be remedied simply by eating more food stuffs packed with anti oxidants then I am definately in on this one.
Great info lee
